Essentially a rest day, we enjoyed a tour about the heart of Stockholm with my Shipley colleague, Frida. I began with a 20-minute walk about our island neighborhood, breakfast, and then we all met Frida in Gamla Stan, the oldest portion of Stockholm, for a walking tour. Stockholm is built on a number of islands linked by bridges.

Sodermalm Craft Sale and Food Truck Line-Up. Lonely Planet suggested Sodermalm is the Brooklyn of Stockholm. After our walking tour and lunch with Frida, I explored the rim of the island on the bike/walking path. After a cold wet spring, we caught ideal weather. Much like a rocky shore where seals occupy every sunny spot, the locals were doing the same in the thousands.
Sodermalm Park. No event or concert, just people for miles.
Gamla Stan. Oldest part of Stockholm. Dan read that this square was the site of an execution of nearly 100 following a battle. Now much safer, except for your credit card.
Banker Eats Bambi. We met Frida; James, the newest Shipley Sweden consultant; John; Stuart; and Dan for dinner. John selected the restaurant, seeking native Swedish game. Here is his reindeer fillet dinner. Dan, father of of four, vegetarian, (so he says), ordered and ate the same dinner. This proved to be Dan's pattern.
